Myanmar Visa Requirements

Most ASEAN citizens enjoy visa-free access for 14-30 days. Citizens from most other countries (US, UK, EU, China, India, etc.) need an e-Visa. Apply online before travel as visa on arrival is limited.

The e-Visa allows single entry for tourism (28 days) or business (70 days). Apply at evisa.moip.gov.mm, pay $50-70, and receive approval within 3 working days. Valid for 90 days from approval date.

Tourist e-Visa costs $50. Business e-Visa costs $70. Embassy visas vary by location. The e-Visa is the most convenient option for most travelers.

e-Visa is valid at Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw international airports, plus Tachileik, Myawaddy, and Kawthaung land borders. Not all entry points accept e-Visa, so plan accordingly.

Myanmar has a strong approval rate of approximately 90% for e-Visas with complete documentation.
